PRESS RELEASE

DISPLAY TECHNOLOGIES AND SBC ADVERTISING ROLL-OUT WAYNE-DALTON'S idrive™ GARAGE DOOR OPENER WITH INNOVATIVE, INTERACTIVE IN-STORE MERCHANDISERFOR LOWE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT WAREHOUSES

COLLEGE POINT, New York -- To expand its presence in home centers and build consumer awareness for its garage door systems while rolling-out the revolutionary new idrive™ garage door opener, Wayne-Dalton® Corp. teamed-up with SBC Advertising and Display Technologies to create an interactive and innovative, high-impact, in-store merchandiser for placement in Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouses this summer.

Wayne-Dalton, a global manufacturing leader of innovative garage door systems, needed a powerful, consumer-friendly display that was durable, flexible and delivered to meet a demanding summer rollout schedule. Display Technologies, a leading, international producer and designer of retail merchandisers, manufactured all of the displays' hardware, and began shipping the displays to 600 Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouses in June 2002. The firm plans to complete delivery by August 31st. SBC Advertising, a leading retail ad agency, created bold, eyecatching graphics for the in-store merchandiser.

Planned and designed after extensive consumer research, sales analysis, andtest marketing, the Wayne-Dalton Display was designed to appeal to thegrowing DIY female audience through "beauty messaging." Lowe's objectives were to educate consumers about garage doors and openers and grow its business in special order garage door sales and installation services.

The immense, permanent aisle display, which is 16-feet tall and 24-feet long, features Wayne-Dalton's name and bold brand graphics on its signature bright, vivid, yellow background. Featuring a mini garage door and a working model of the new idrive™ opener, the durable, display walks the consumer through a simple three-step selection process that includes door model selection, choosingdoor options (such as color and windows), and ordering the appropriate Wayne-Dalton opener.

The consumer-friendly merchandiser includes garage door panel cutaways to clearly show differences between insulation levels, and lighted swinging door panels that display all color and window options. The garage door design center features a panel mounted on a swinging door, with space behind for storage, and an interactive idrive™ opener bay (a 6-foot by 4-foot section with graphics highlighting a working mini-model of the new idrive™). A universal garage door accessory area makes it easier for consumers to choose accessories that work with all of the available doors.

In addition, the Wayne-Dalton Garage Door System display touts Lowe's services with a 14-day installation guarantee, as well as the opportunity for consumers to purchase a 1-, 3- or 5-year extended warranty which is offered on all Wayne-Dalton doors and openers.

The custom display is easy-to-assemble, easy-to-maintain, and easy-to-update in the field.

Hope, Ohio, Wayne-Dalton Corp. has offered innovative products and new ideas to the garage door industry since its inception in 1954.  The first company to develop energy-efficient, insulated, garage doors, Wayne-Dalton introduced pinch-resistant doors and safely enclosed springs which led to the launch of the first national garage door safety program.
