COLLEGE POINT, New York -- To maximize the multiple benefits of its two bulk merchandising subsidiaries, Display Technologies' President Richard Jay has announced the consolidation of Trade Fixtures and Newleaf Designs. The combined organizations now operate under the name Trade Fixtures/Newleaf Designs as a single subsidiary of Display Technologies, and will provide innovative bulk merchandising solutions through its turnkey creative and manufacturing operations. "We wanted to offer the combined resources and synergy of two distinct bulk merchandising leaders as one entity," explains Mr. Jay. "We will become more valuable to our customers by combining the strengths and capabilities of both companies -- Newleaf Designs and Trade Fixtures -- which have already successfully delivered on several joint projects. Integrating the newly formed organization with Display Technologies' marketing, manufacturing and creative expertise positions our company as a preeminent supplier of retail merchandising solutions."

Marshall Goldberg, recently appointed to the newly established position of Executive Vice President, General Manager of Bulk Merchandising Systems, will oversee the new subsidiary's operations.

During the past three decades, Trade Fixtures pioneered the production of fabricated acrylic bulk bins. In 1998, the firm introduced its patented line of injection molded bins, which helped to render acrylic technology obsolete, virtually overnight. Trade Fixtures was the nation's first, leading bulk bin manufacturer certified by the National Sanitary Foundation (NSF). Today it retains a client roster that includes leading retailers and distributors worldwide.

Newleaf Designs, a Chanhassen, Minnesota-based supplier of bulk food dispensing and display systems, was recently certified by the NSF for its complete line of Scoop Bins, Gravity Feed Bins and Merchandising Components. Newleaf Designs believes that buying and selling in bulk furthers its commitment to preserving the earth and conserving its resources. The firm has created smartly designed bulk food dispensing and display systems that are practical, flexible and durable.

Based on recent studies, bulk foods is forecasted to become one of the fastest growing segments within the grocery industry over the next decade. Display Technologies' subsidiaries have created injection-molded technology that revolutionized the manufacture and design of bulk bin displays with a multitude of benefits: increased profit margin at check-out; improved customer-friendliness; greater design and flexibility with 100 percent modularity and attractive merchandising features; improved durability; enhanced gravity feed stock rotation and loading capabilities; and easier maintenance.
